Camera and sensor recalibration after a windshield replacement.
If your vehicle has lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise, automatic emergency braking or a rain sensor, there is a camera looking through the windshield. Replace the glass and that camera's aim changes — even slightly — which means the safety systems are reading the road from the wrong reference point.
ADAS calibration re-teaches those systems where straight ahead actually is, following the manufacturer's procedure for your vehicle. It is not an upsell; on most modern vehicles it is a required step to finish the job properly.
